There are thousands of fly species in the world, and some of these can be unpleasant and annoying. They can also bring health risks in to your property due to the diseases they can transmit. Some flies can even bite which can become irritating. If a fly problem is left untreated, it can turn into a major infestation.
A sign of infestation would be a large number of flies in either your home or commercial property. If you notice larvae, this is a sign that they are breeding. Flies breed rapidly, and depending on the environment they are in (with the right temperature and food), they are able to develop from an egg to fully grown adults in 1 week. After mating, the female fly will lay a few batches of 100 eggs. The life cycle of a fly is usually no longer than 30 days.
Flies feed on animal waste and other decaying organic matter. The bacteria and viruses they pick up can then be transferred to people and animals, normally via contaminated food and other products.
